I wanted to include a page on this website that talks about ideas I am passionate about. I haven’t always been this way. I used to not have a clue as to who I was as a person, my likes, dislikes, personality, passions, what I agreed with and what I didn’t know. But over the years, my eyes have been opened and I have realized that for one: I actually like myself. And two: I know way more about myself than I ever have. It’s been a pretty cool journey, that I am still on, finding more and more out about myself each day.
For starters, my favorite color is TEAL. Okay, just kidding, you guys probably don’t care about that kind of stuff right? (But it really is teal in case you were wondering).
Something I do feel very strongly about it that people throughout this world need to be more educated on alcoholism and addiction. From my experience, I have found that many people do not understand the disease, nor wish to. My hope is to bring more awareness. I will start with my community and hopefully the word will get to more parts of the world than I could even dream of. I also believe that everyone should work some kind of program, whether it’s with the program I work or a program that is similar to that, because I do believe the world would be a better place. But, I think that just might have to stay being a dream, and that’s okay. National Recovery Month is September and National Subtance Abuse Prevention Month is October.
Something else that I feel very passionate about is rescuing and looking after animals. They don’t have a say in anything that happens to them, and for whatever reason, some people think they can treat them horribly. I want to be their voice and encourage others to join in the rescue movement. Don’t buy, adopt! You will never know just how appreciative those little puppos or kitties will feel once they feel loved in a good home. All they want is a little love. We adopted our two dogs, and my husband and I plan to keep on doing so. If we could, we would adopt all the animals, but unfortunately the size of our house and our salaries just won’t afford that. Don’t forget that National Adopt a Pet Month is October!
